Rest House in Cayambe

Since the month of January in 2003, for nearly a year, we weekly visited the rest house of Cayambe, which is about two hours away from Quito by foot from the mountain of Cayambe.

Our volunteers, directed by Vanessa Reinoso, organized dynamic recreational activities to bring a little bit of joy to the 44 elderly people who live there, the majority of whom have been abandoned by their families.

On September 28th, 2003, in accordance with the day of the elderly, our volunteers organized a party in the house of Cayambe. Clowns, live music, dance, and poetry for everyone helped refill the atmosphere with positive energy.
