PROJECT HOGAR SAN VICENTE DE PAUL - University of San Francisco Quito

Through entrepreneurial projects, creativity, and great effort, students of the University San Francisco of Quito have raised nearly $9,000 for the reconstruction of classrooms in the orphanage San Vicente de Paul of Quito.

The money was raised through a project, "Eventos y Protocolo" of the Faculty of Communication and Public Relations, in order to demonstrate their originality and social responsibility.

As a result of the organization of 4 events, $12,500 was raised in total, of which $8,948 will be earmarked for the reconstruction of classrooms in the orphanage San Vicente de Paul of Quito. Additionally, materials for construction were also collected.

The official delivery of the sum was made on October 2, 2012 during a breakfast at the Hall Colonial University San Francisco.

The San Vicente de Paul orphanage cares for 73 children from birth to eighteen years. A request for help with improving the classrooms attended by children (from 2 to 5 years) was presented to the University by the non-profit organization Ayuda Directa.

In order to achieve our mutual dream of helping the orphanage, 12 students organized four successful events that have allowed us to collect the necessary sum.

These activities, in addition to providing academic development for the students, are designed to generate awareness for group work and how to act positively on society.
